Looking for recommendations for post ride meal at Kirroughtree. Will be with the family. Pub grub would be ideal. Anything in Newton Stewart? Happy to drive to a decent place preferably south on the A75.

Newton Stuart has a few pubs and restaurants. The hotel also does reasonable food. Pubs are a bit rough...

The Crown hotel bar in Newton Stewart does decent pub food. Was just in there on saturday.

Galloway Lodge in Gatehouse does burger nights Fri and Sat in summer which are very good and family friendly (might need to book). Serves from 6pm and on the route home.

Slight hijack. We're staying in the area for a few days this weekend, are there any particular routes for cycling with a 5.5 year old folk could recommend? I know there's all the usual trail centres but looking for something more natural. Thanks!
