So.

I came back form Chatel just under two weeks ago, had a couple of days at home, since when I've been at work offshore. I've been constantly tired since I got home and even getting as much sleep as I can the fug isn't lifting. I'm feeling generally negged, with a massive lack of enthusiasm compared to normal.
I have the constant thought that I could just about jack everything in (House, Job etc.)

SAD?

Don't worry mate, I also just got back from Chatel about two weeks ago and have only just got back on the bike due to injury. Also pretty sick of job etc. It will pass.

When life tells you you're doing something wrong, at least do it a favour and think it over.

Not to try and worry you and I don't know how closely I can pinpoint the cause but.....

I wasn't very well to start with but didn't want to cancel so did the Mega anyway. Totally knackered me out then came straight back to a few weeks of hard work, doing loads of hours. Month or so later I got a nasty cold/flu type thing - that's nearly two years ago now and i've never fully recovered.

I can't be sure but I suspect I really needed to just rest up for a week or two when I got back, but it didn't happen.

I got called into the office at work to ask "off the record" what was wrong with me.
I held back from telling them that the appauling pay and crap morale in the place was mostly to blame. Having just got back from two weeks of having fun on my bike i'm pretty down as well.

Still, update your cv, and fire off some applications.
Even if you get some charming rejection letters at least your attempting to make life more pleasant.

Somewhere in the middle of all that I turned 30 and got knocked back for a job I'd applied for due to "operational circumstances" (Internal transfer, the current business unit won't release anyone). I haven't been worrying to much about that, just feels like the batteries have gone flat.

As I'm offshore it's not like I can just go and rag the bike to shake it off either.

I'm on nights at the mo, finish Monday morning then 2 weeks off & spending the 2nd week on Islay.
Believe me, on the 9th August, at the top of my list of 'Top 100 places I don't want to be', HMP ******** will be top. 😥

When I turned 30 I felt like poop for ages, it really got to me, sounds very similar to what you are saying, I was really down
