I just got back from a ride feeling a bit dizzy due to low blood sugar, so I got some jam and peanut butter out to make a sandwich, then found that the bread was mouldy. After ransacking the cupboards, I came upon the solution: Canned rice pudding with the aforementioned jam and peanut butter, the perfect blend of fat, sugar, salt, protein and carbs for recovery. It tastes rather good as well 😀
Anyone else chance upon particularly tasty foodstuff combinations due to exercise induced starvation?
Usually just raid the cereal cupboard.
Sometimes if I'm lucky I have a cheese & bacon omelette or cheese & ham toasted sandwich waiting for me when I get back 🙂

After two & a bit hours spent on the local trails with excellent friends last night. My post ride snack consisted of, half a cold pizza, some cold left-over ravioli, some baby beetroot, chopped up chilli's & half bottle of Faustino......Howzat ?
