Partner has just taken son to the hospital with a rash that doesn't go away with the glass test. Local hospital has just sent them to the Sick Kids hospital. Feeling nervous.
Ouch. good luck. Unlikely to be meningitis but that knowledge won't stop the butterflies.
Oh blimey, no advice I'm afraid but thinking of you all.
Cheers. Trying not to worry but the little bugger has been trouble free for the first 13 years...
Fingers crossed its just another one of those unexplained rashes kids get.
Has he had any other symptoms of illness?
The rash usually appears quite late during the illness and does look bloody nasty

Little bit of a sore throat but nothing else. He's just been for his daily 2½ hour diving training and is perplexed about the fuss. MIL is staying so her natural pessimism is ramping the stress levels up.
Could he put chin down to his chest? Light hurting eyes? If he can look at his mobile phone then he won't have it

As you've got help what sounds like early on he'll be fine if it is.
Hopefully all will be good.
My wee brother had it as a kid, he still turned out the best of us tbh.
Also, my diet irn bru allergy is completely indistinguishable from meningitis rash. There's other stuff that presents much the same. Good luck!
Waiting for results of blood tests. They were playing in the woods today so hopefully its just a reaction to something he came into contact with.
Is it ivy that can bring you out in a rash? That would likely be present in the woods so might be that.
Tests all clear, think it was burst blood vessels caused by the diving.
Yay!
It's the one thing that brings me into a sweat any time any of mine get a rash.
Great news.
