send an email to it... if it bounces back... it's invalid..

if it works... you get a reply 🙂

Try registering a new hotmail account using the address you want to confirm?

Ive been given an address that probably isn't correct. The 'giver' is a non English speaker so there's a bit of a comms problem and I'd like to independently confirm his address if poss.

Don't give any money to a person with a dodgy email address.

I've tried that...

Just found this Verify Email.org Seems to suggest he's a .com rather than .fr.... Assuming it's reliable.

I know the chap, he's just not very tech savvy and doesn't speak Engrish.

Ask him to email you. Reply to it.

Yeah, I did. Comms are a bit arm wavey as my French doesn't extend to email support and his English is at zero.

Come on Cougar, it's clearly...

"VOULEZ VOUS MAILEZ DE L'ELECTRONIQUE MOI S'IL VOUS PLAIT."

If you don't shout they can't understand you, everyone knows that.

Aah now, that opportunity has passed. He's daaan France, I'm mitt Engerland. Hence why I want to validate his address remotely (and no, I don't have a phone number for him).

Thanks anyway. Ta.
