Posh jeans - how long do they take to break in?

For my recent birthday, MrsIHN very kindly bought me some jeans from Community Clothing. Now this is the first pair of 'posh' jeans that I've had and the quality of the fabric is pretty obvious.

However...said fabric quality means they are pretty, er, robust. How long until I'm no longer walking like Herman Munster and taking the skin off the back of my hands getting anything into or out of the pockets?

Depends how much you wear them really, but think in terms of  months and months rather than a few weeks

Funny, my posh jeans (Mac) are instantly comfortable... I've always assumed that's part of the posh-ness

If you were properly posh you'd hire someone to break them in for you. 🙂

Weren't Hiut doing something like that for a while - selling jeans that you could wear (in) for a while and then return and they'd then resell them to customers who preferred  their jeans to be a bit more worn. Or did I dream that.

Visit Edinburgh when TJ is back.

Put on your posh jeans and let him know when you are at Princess St Gardens

He will then chase you around the gardens telling you ( and everyone else) why men of your age shouldn't wear jeans.

All the running about, those jeans will be worn in in no time. 😜

About 15 minutes before they are worn out...

A  few days of wear in my experience, but they'll always feel a bit stiff due to the cloth used. it also depends on the jeans, some take longer, others feel good out of the bag.

You can, apparently, speed up the process by wearing them in a hot bath and then walking around in them for an an hour whilst they're still wet. Seems a but excessive to me, but if you're desperate.
