I like gel ink pens. I seem to make less mess with them than I ever did with a fountain pen. Plus I find they are nicer to write with. My current choice is a Pilot G1. However, this is a cheap desposible pen so it tends to fall apart before they are finished.

Can anyone recommend a "premium" gel ink pen? I don't need anything too bling or expensive. Just a decent pen that uses refills.

Many thanks.

Have you tried these?

I prefer gel pens, but these are even better. Very smooth to write (and sketch) with. Just buy them in packs of 12, so when they run out, just grab another

Have a look at Cult Pens website, they've got a good selection of decent ones.

hmmm, £120. Given I just bought another bike at lunchtime I suspect the wife will not allow this. I will have a good look at the website though.

I've tried technical drawing pens. I used to use them in GCSE design. I liked them for drawing, but could never get on with them for writing.
