This sort of thing Vs an aeropress for good coffee at work - which is best in your opinion?

I have both.

Quick answer: Aeropress every time.

The portable espresso machine makes good coffee, and is great to use, but it only makes a small shot. The water must be boiling otherwise it cools down too much by the time it's in your cup.

Reload takes time if youre doing more than one shot.
We use an aeropress to make coffee for three people in one go at the workshop.

However, you do get a "true" espresso from the pressurised device which you dont from an aeropress.

Espresso basket needs cleaning/tapping out, so slightly more hassle than popping a puck. But not too much.

I got the espresso maker out of curiosity, but rarely use it at home. I might take it to the flat as I dont have an espresso machine there, but again doubt it will get used much.
