Off to the cricket in June to see if there are any non-cheating Aussies left...

Any recommendations for personal type DAB radios so that I can have TMS in the lughole during the game?  I don't want to be paying £10 for the cheap ear pieces they sell at the ground!

Cheers

SHould have been clearer - looking for something smaller - stick in a pocket type affair.  Thanks anyway.

not very portable either

last time i looked at this there was not much choice and many use the ear piece as the aerial and have short battery life. I did not get one based on the reviews I could find and advice n best buys

Not that usefull or helpful

I've had a Majority Romsey for a few months now. Reasonable. The inbuilt speaker is tinny, but I mostly use it with ear phones, so that isnt an issue. It could do with a button lock to stop it changing channels when in my pocket. Battery lasts up to 2 days at work. They have some good deals at the moment, when I bought it, it was the only one at £30, they have a few at that price point now.

Tunein app on your smartphone might be a cheap option if you have the data for it

I have an  https://www.azatom.com/pro-s1

it works well, is usb rechargeable, can be recharged while it’s turned on, has a headphone socket.

would i buy another? Yes, its perfect for my requirements.

Downsides,

the ariel looks flimsy, and some have reported that it’s easily broken. Mine is fine though.

there is a lock button, but when it’s activated the radio can still be turned on.

Edit:and it does fit in a pocket.

We have a Roberts Play 10 DAB radio, which replaced a Sony DAB that had crap reception. The Roberts is the size and width of 3 dvd cases so not the smallest but still portable, light, good sound quality with long battery (AA) life

Cheers all - the Majority and Azatom look good candidates.

I bought this one, it is fab. Great battery life and the ability to plug headphones in or use the speaker is very useful.

Had a couple of cheap other brand ones before that chewed batteries and spat them out for fun.

absolutely brilliant radio .great sound both with speaker or headphones ( needs aerial extended at least partially )

I use one all the time when working and also when out cycling ... I stick it in my top pocket. If you're not impressed you can return it after a few weeks  and they'll refund too...but you will be!

Smartphone with one of the radio apps? The only downside might be a lack of a decent network with good data. TuneIn Radio Pro is probably the best.
