My near 30 year old microwave let out the magic smoke last night so I'm after sensible suggestions for a replacement. As I have two air fryers already, is it worth getting a Combi microwave or should I just stick to a standard one?
I had a combi one once. The oven part got used annually when I was doing Christmas dinner. Waste of money (for me, YMMV).
If I were buying one tomorrow my requirements would be: metal chamber, the painted ones always flake and rust; largest chamber I can find; a known brand rather than a supermarket special; electronic timer rather than turny-dial; 1000W+.
We use the combi loads on ours but we don't have an air fryer.
We bought a 'corner' microwave - bit taller than usual, but it takes up less worktop space. Hotpoint Curve
