Sorry for not responding to specific text, all.

Limited battery time. Phone, (smart watch (Amazfit Bip6 £79, amazing little thing for the money, best bit if tech I've bought in ages, it's helped a lot.) are near flat and head torch is flat. Lol

Incredible day. Again, the kindness of strangers and the beauty of the countryside. You had to be here so I won't get into it but I was a blubbering mess at one point. I don't know what this experience is doing to me but it'll be one of the most fondly recalled memories of my life, genuinely.

Right! My feet are an issue as I went for a swim in the Thames with open wounds on my feet... Not a clever thing to do but I don't regret it one jot. It led to an amazing encounter with a couple of people.

I could write a short book about all that's happened today but it will have to remain in my memory I'm afraid. Just too much happened and most of it was wonderful. The bad? That was wrapped up with 24 carat gold and tied with a ribbon of platinum.

The invention? I'll reveal it before the end I promise. I genuinely keep forgetting!

Now, sounds pics but you had to be there, pictures dont tell the story, not at all.

Oh, im north of Goring near Little Stoke as I tried this.

Lovely life affirming stuff.

Makes me wonder why I'm pissing away what time I have left.

After all the the recent disappointment about the "Salt Path" being more fictional than advertised, the world needs a true adventure walking book. You have a way with words Poopy, and even your heartfelt posts on this thread are inspiring.

Once bashed into shape and edited when you return, there's a decent book in there I'm sure. I'd buy it! Please take it easy in the sun and mind those feet. I'll only buy your best seller if it has a happy ending. No! Not that kind!

Ace! Keep on keeping on is what I say 🙂 Walking isn't mountain biking, but I think the slower pace helps, makes maybe, you look at the world a little more closely. I have no idea how far you've walked and how much further there is to go, but then I guess that's maybe part of the point of it.

Yup, keep it up. I've been reading (just your posts) but not posting from the Stevenson walk through the Cevennes - mainly in sandals so without blisters. Finished now so no need to save the phone battery for navigation. Waiting on the resolution to your teaser. 🙂

Literally just got home at 9.55pm got some charge in the mobile on the train.

I'll talk more about what happened today in general, the invention, the feet, the dicky tummy, crying in Boots (oh, in a charity shop too), the incident in Costa... the typically (for me) strange encounter with a woman whilst simply trying to get a taxi to the station! Well I'll do all that, tomorrow or the day after. I'm honestly f****d.

Just going to bath my feet in some salt, or I was but I'm going to have a bath first now. Why?

Well,  I noticed whilst away all the smart devices in the home were down. Sure enough Virgin is down. Got in the hall dumped the rucksack on the floor and couldn't be bothered moving furniture to get to the router or it's plug.

Feeling justified in being lazy I decided to just flip the breaker for that room as it's less effort.

I bent down to open the under stairs door to the breakers and at that exact moment I sh*t myself.

It's bloody great to be home, not feeling too well today at all and sad this adventure is over to early... but if I'm going to sh*t myself I'm going to do it in my own home.

By that measure, the perfect ending.

Sorry guys. Wasn't to well when I got back, that weather was lovely but hard work and went to A and E today as one "ex" blister basically looked like a margarita pizza.

Amazingly, it's all healing ok apparently but I have to stay off my feet as much as possible and have to attend the wound clinic once a week to get the dressings changed.

So... Let's just say tj and scotroutes were right!

I'll end the tale properly over the next couple of days.

Poop? Have you recovered yet? I think we're all waiting to read the end of your adventure.

I hope you're feeling well now.
