I am seeking advice from the people in blue on here, I want to patrol the streets looking for my nicked bike.
1) I see scumbag riding my bike. What do I do? The temptation is to run after him and leap on him. But I can see issues here. Can I legally "apprehend" the rider. They might be an innocent who bought it at a car boot or something?
I am thinking I might patrol with my good quality camera, and if I see scumbag on bike, furtively capture his image and report it?
What happens if you guys don't recognise him?
I follow him?
Any ideas?
