My Mrs has just washed my little lads trousers with his prized collection of apparently rare ex and gx pokemon cards the shiny fancy ones. Does anyone know where you can buy genuine cards but only the ex and gx ones without it costing an arm and a leg. Thanks

I've got special EXs from eBay in the past for my son when only a 'special mega EX plus XY thingy' will do - not exactly cheap, but cheaper than buying the boxes etc.

I had a look on there but looking at feedback there seems to be a lot of fakes. I'll have another search thanks

How old?

Maybe a chance for a life lesson instead?

Wow! That could be a bad day in your household! (genuine not flippant comment!)

I am not sure how old he is, but maybe distraction is better than trying to replace. Accept the initial upset and then introduce him to something similar, but different. Maybe Magic The Gathering? Have a Duel pack ready, open the sets, play a couple of games, then give him some Booster decks to bolster his deck and promise a trip to the shop on Saturday to get some more booster packs?

All depends on his age and what his buddies are doing though

Good Luck!

Surely the OP's wife should know by now to check pockets before washing 😆

Apparently there is some new Pokemon stuff that has only just been released;

Maybe being the ‘first’ to have the new stuff will help with the pain (and be lighter on your wallet)
