The world of mattresses is *vast* and I'm confused as to what's worth buying! In truth anything's better than our current mattress but we wish to find something that'll last. I am erring on the side of a firm mattress as I'm 11.5-12 st and gf is 10.5 st in weight. Does anyone have any reccomendations? Don't really wish to spend more than £400. Any suggestions will be much appreciated!

I think you may be struggling to get a pocket sprung mattress for less than £400. You need to go and lie on some to see how firm you want, or don't want as the case may be.

I'm posting on here because there are lots of pocket sprung mattresses at £400 and I can't decide if any of them are any good.

They are all very comfortable imo since my current mattress is so worn!

You can't do better than John Ryan

We've got one of their Artisan Naturals and it's excellent. I've no doubt anything they do will be good and beat others at that price.

John Ryan as bigjohn said. Had a couple from them and they are awesome.

The Origins Pocket 1500 kingsize is pretty damn good for £515
