You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Please don't let the title of this thread give you the impression that I've got the faintest idea what I'm talking about. I've recently learnt how to transfer topo map images to my Garmin Oregon using a method of overlaying the map photo onto Google Earth and saving this to the GPS, I have found an image of a bit of Spain that I want to ride around but it is a PNG file and as such won't transfer, apparently it only works with JPEG's. Is these a way of converting this? Please be gentle with the jargon as I really am a numpty.
Open it with pretty much any image program (including the standard windows one) then 'save as' and select jpeg
Just gave that a try, opened it in My Pictures, went to Save As but the box that usually lets you try different file types is greyed out and only contains "Portable Network Graphics" now I know what PNG means!
Start / Run / mspaint
Thanks Cougar, I think that will work now.
Eeeeexcellent. *steeples fingers*
