...is apparently a headline on various papers today.

WTF?

I guess the anti-tory press are getting desparate. The state of our tabloids is utterly depressing to me.

what a **** and everyone else who is on holiday this week. It's disgraceful, people like that, doing stuff like that.

What are we enraged by again?

I find that my life has always been easier by ignoring what the 'Red Tops' have to say.

It also helps never to get it a discussion with someone about one either.

DAVID Cameron flew to Ibiza for a holiday yesterday — leaving Britain engulfed by the biggest terror crisis since 7/7.

The SUN

WTF heading to Daily Fail proportions there

People are either angry about the PM having a holiday or they're angry that others are angry about it.

Nice switcheroo in the OP.

Nice switcheroo in the OP.

Eh?

Is there a reason you are stalking me just now?

Is the pro-Tory press backing Cameron's need for a well earned rest then ?

BTW I can't imagine why the anti-Tory press might be getting desperate ..... is Cameron doing so extraordinarily well as PM, and so hugely popular with the British people, that he gives his opponents very little material to work on ?

DD - I thought you were flaming my thread, 2nd time in a few days.

Ernie, ta, I always get it spelt wrong.

I'm no fan of CMD but this really is the biggest non-story ever.

It wasn't a criticism of your spelling - that's not my style. The italics was to emphasise the word desperate. I was wondering why you thought the anti-Tory press might be getting desperate ?

He'd have probably lost his deposit. To a MP that would be humiliating...

I had a look on some vaguely leftie sites this morning (Guardian. Independent and Socialist Worker) and found no prominent mention of the PM's break.

No DD, but the very pro-Tory Daily Mail and Sun newspapers appear to be outraged.

The Sun :

Hell...hol
Weeping wife's tribute as PM chillaxes on idyllic

[img] [/img]

And the Daily Mail :

[img] [/img]

It seems to me that the OP is guilty of a typical knee-jerk reaction in blaming the "anti-Tory press"

Hang on ernie, the Mirror website mentions it. So, yeah, the anti-tory press is indeed getting desperate.

Oh thanks, piemonster. Didn't realise that. I'm now 100% convinced to go out and vote UKIP.

😕

I couldn't give a stuff if an inconsequential puppet is on holiday.

What really disturbs me is the 'Google could be forced by law to block extremist websites' sub-headline. In the name of 'freedom and democracy'.

More anti-Cameron press I suspect, he's not anti Europe enough and he's pro gay marriage. The Tory heartland seem to be in apoplectic kneejerk meltdown. I predict a continued effort to remove him as leader in the months to come.

Is the Daily Mail still a Tory paper?

'Leftie' papers? The Sun? Yeah, right.

What's happened here is that a certain Australian media owner has decided that Dave isn't right wing enough for his liking, so has withdrawn his support. In fact, he's declared war on him! Expect him to roundly endorse Gove, May, Hunt or whichever of his pets tacks furthest to the right, in an attempt to out-UKIP Farage, then starts making noises about leadership elections
