with plusnet for broadband etc , seem ok . offered me a good deal to move my mobile from EE , they turned my old number off 3 days ago and supplied another number, keep contacting them and all i get is, its with the operations team and could be another 2- 5 working days !! ... they had my Pac number on the 2nd of the month .... Talk about taking the piss , Im in the middle of selling my house and i use my phone for work contact, thought things like this only normally take a day or so ... poor showing from plusnet !

My experience of them is poor. Are they not just a rebadged BT? I switched my fibre broadband super whizzy from them at £40 a month to TalkTalk at £25. All this Yorkshire stuff was just branding nonsense as far as I could see. Sorry- thats not very helpful- and yes you should have had it by now.

I found Giffgaff very "on the tin" .

The broadband is BTs budget brand but you get a better cheaper service.

The mobile network works off EE network.. I moved across this week from 3 network and there were some minor glitches but its wasn't too difficult.

Similar issues with all three of our numbers we changed over, pissed me right off. But its cheap and once connected is good.

Changed mine last year and it took less than a day. Did my wife’s this year and they lost her original request but was done in a day once we contacted them.

Don't know about Plusnet's customer service but transferring a number with a PAC would normally be a day's interruption of service at most.

Could you confirm what you mean when you say they turned your old number off though? If your EE mobile contract was cancelled before the porting took place it's going to make things difficult.

What should happen is you'll have 2 SIMs and 2 mobile numbers with the contracts running side by side until the porting date. When the port takes place the old service will end without further input from you.

Sent Pac request on friday 2nd , My original number with EE went dead on wednesday 7th afternoon , had to put new plusnet sim in etc , so got another number, I contatced them the next morning as it hadnt ported overnight and all they keep saying is , its been passed onto their operation dept to sort out why the porting hasnt gone through and all i keep getting now is , it will take another 2-5 days to get them to at least give me a porting date !! ... all i keep getting is apologies and sorry we cant help you until the OPS team have sorted it , so basically im fubarbed until then .... My biggest concern is losing my original number as i use it for so much

Sounds like something went wrong with the port and they've passed it to a 2nd line team to resolve.

It might be worth giving EE a call to see if they can confirm the status of your original number, for peace of mind. They should at least be able to tell if the number is still attached to your account with them or if it's moved to Plusnet.
