My kitchen tap starts to drip/run when the shower or bath in the house is running. Really annoying and despite a Plumber attempting to solve it some time back, it seems to be getting worse. Its a Franke tap btw.....any ideas?

Is a shower pump somehow pressurising the Hot/ Cold water system?

When you run the shower or bath the water pressure at the kitchen tap drops. This reduces the pressure holding the seal and allows the tap to leak.

Change the tap (or washers, if it has them and you like that kind of thing).

If it is a Franke tap it will have a ceramic disc valve. I have had this problem on a couple of jobs lately (not Franke taps but similar). Both times it was cured by changing the ceramic disc cartridge.

central tap services for Franke spares from memory

Stoner, beauty of the job. All aspects large or small make for an interesting job.
