We’re re doing the bathroom as the old shower tray has a healthy crack in it and the shower curtain is a pain to keep the floor dry. We currently have a 4” deep shower tray but would like to install a slimline tray like this one here

Is there anyhting that would prevent us from fitting this type of shower tray? Does it depend on the waste kit that is currently installed under the tray? Will the waste kit under the current tray be suitable for the new tray above or do I need to purchase the fast flow waste for the new tray?

Existing trap should work fine if you still want to keep it. Assume all waste pipes are under the floorboard. Did something similar at my parents house a few years ago but replaced the trap as it was absolutely disgusting.

I'm afraid I haven't got a clue. But if you go to this forum and ask them which tyres you should use to cycle to B&Q, you should be able to get some advice from someone in the shop.

If the new tray lowers the position of the trap make sure you still have a suitable fall on the waste?

Only two things you need to know as a plumber,Shite flows downhill and you get paid on Thursday!
