Anyone a plumber, DIY expert or have a tiny toilet and sink combo.... Looking to replace our downstairs toilet with a combo - found a couple of options £290-£400 mark. Anyone have any recommendations on ones they have used - looking for the smallest depth measurement if possible - 640-650mm etc.

Also - presume all will handle a floor waste pipe (ie downwards) but any experience gratefully received!

Dont assume they will all handle a downward waste, depending where it comes up. If your house is anything like mine no chance on getting a slimline one in easily. I had to really hunt for a back to wall toilet that just fitted with the furniture to make it work. I think i found about 3 that worked and only one was reasonabe money. Still had to use a flexible waste to make it all work. Check the waste pipe measurements very carefully.

...and watch out for small bowl-shaped basins with high water pressure. The water swirls down, up and out

If the pressure is too high and splashes out just restrict the flow by half closing the isolator ball valve. It'll fill a bit slower but that's no big deal.

Also watch out for that pube. Just get a sink it'll do for both.

If this is needed, you may as well do the job properly with one of these  ...

Ball valves aren’t designed to regulate flow and should really either be fully open or fully closed.

Chances are if there is a ballvalve there, it will already be restricting the flow as they are generally 6-8 mm bore on a 15mm pipe anyway.

No idea on the £ but Caroma have a combo sink/toilet. Their stuff is unlockable and most have a 10-12" downward  waste.
