Waiting to get reply from a plumber to replace old tired toilet, sink and pedestal with nice new ones - says there should be no problems even though old suite must be 25 years old. What do you reckon he’ll come in at?

I reckon £100 for toilet and same for sink/ped.  I always use an new pan connector and trap and tails.  sometimes it's an easy job, sometimes a bitch.

Just that? Any tiling or plumbing alterations needed? If not, sounds like less that a day's work. But you'll be charged for a day so £300* plus materials. Not a difficult job though with compression or even push fit fittings and flexible tap connections. You should be asking a mate to assist for the price of a few cans if you've never done anything like that on your own before.

* I have no idea about plumbers day rates really.

£250 is over the top.

£175 is reasonable.

£150 is cheap.
