I'm trying to find a way of watching plex on my telly. It's not working through my PlayStation as apparently it's a trial app or something. Anyone know if something like chromecast or similar will work?
Amazon Firestick has Plex. Have you considered Kodi though? It has a lot more features.
Not heard of kodi mate, I'll look into it cheers. Will consider anything that works. Usually watch plex on my pc but it's broken.
Is the version of plex the full version in these streaming devices?
I use Rasplex running on a Raspberry Pi, works very well, integrates with my TV remote, no hacking, plugin, fiddling required.
I know Kodi is the full version so I preseume Plex is also. Plex is based on Kodi (formerly Xbmc) as it is open source.
Kodi running on the new R Pi (or Mac Mini for the deep of pocket) is a great solution.
You can watch Plex on Roku sticks app, on the console apps, or stream it to things like Chromecasts. Not sure if you need the full app, but it's only £3 I think?
