Our 5 year old daughter was given a snow globe 2 weeks ago to help with her grieving process by a friend. Our 3 year old wanted to have a look, and dropped it by accident as it was too heavy. Now she won't stop crying.

I have asked where they got it from, but they had it years ago and couldn't remember. She saw it at their house and it has a star on the tree and she took a liking to it. She said it reminds her of Mummy. I have said we can look for another one together but she wants that one.

Can anyone help find an exact replacement please? It is a wind up musical globe, white Xmas tree with star on top and white glitter. Pic below. Quite happy for this to be shared everywhere, and i will update my blog with it too.

Thanks (a very hopeful thanks)

Is this it? Found via google, not sure where you can buy it, but it might be a start.

edit: probably not. Tree looks very similar but base isn’t

There's lots of similar but not quite exact ones about the web,  what about separating the tree from the base and sticking it to the lid of a suitably sized/shaped jar, then fill said jar with glitter and water/glycol mix. You could then upend the jar and then stick it to the musical base?

Any manufacturer or serial number details on the base? As above, lots similar but 'not quite' on the web.

Might be easier looking for a diy snowglobe kit of the same size and just replacing the glass.

^This^ - our daughter broke a sentimental snow globe a few years ago. Theres just too many avaliable that are similar but not the same. So unless you have manufacturer details it's easier to get it remounted with a similar sized kit.

Buy an acrylic ball and get someone to chop the bottom off and bond it to the base?

It had never crossed my mind you could do DIY snow globes, might be the easier option is you can get it apart:  https://www.amazon.co.uk/40003-Snowglobe-You-Yourself-Replacement/dp/B01JGYQN88

Probably someone who can repair them out there too.

If you did DIY then your daughter could choose the snow/glitter not sure if that would make it more personal as it would be unique to her then
