Is it me or does the commentary sound go from crystal clear to quiet muffled mumbling all the time ?

Have you accidentally changed the sound setting on the (TV?) from 'cinema' to 'stadium' or something? Just an idea... depending on content I genreally use the 'cinema' preset, but sometimes things sound better if I change it to 'clear voice' or whatever, depending on what I'm watching.

Well it affects MrsMad as well, not that rules out dodgy ears but we noticed it last week on PE and not anywhere else.
Sound settings are good.

Does it go quiet when the creatures are on the screen? He may not want to scare them so he speaks quietly.
I’ve only got the TV sound on, it’s not going through my AV system, but the sound from my fairly new Sony telly is fine, I can hear everything on PE III absolutely fine.
Same problem re. muffled commentary for us this week too. Haven't noticed it on any other programmes or other weeks of planet earth.
