I'm off to the north lakes for the next couple of days and was just wondering of places to ride while I'm there.
Bearing in mind I'll be on a DH bike, but can/am willing to ride/push up hills etc.
Can anyone suggest some good places to ride?

Setmurthy woods outside Cockermouth used to have some decent downhill trails in it, all built by locals. Not been out that way for a while though, so no idea what's still there.
been thinking about that but how exactly do you get to setmurthy?

alright, cheers. may do the 'borrowdale bash' or start at the top of honister pass, follow the bridleway down to grange and then ride up and down catbells.
