Dewsbury should be as far away from anywhere as possible. Same with Bradford.

To be fair, both are situated within road networks that mean you never really have to go through either. Which is just as well.

Shouldn’t Robin Hood’s Bay be further south somewhere near Sherwood Forest?

Apparently the places that lay claim to Robin Hood are very many. He's all over Calderdale too - there are several pubs, and a massive stone up on the moors called 'Robin Hood's Penny', the story behind which includes a super-powered game of quoits or something 🙂

Not to mention that his grave is in Kirklees...

Not sure where the small village of Knockin (Shropshire) should go, but it does have a village store to buy things in...:-)

Ashby de la Zouch

Good shout. Instantly makes me think of Boothby Graffoe as well.

Dunno where that should be, possibly somewhere in Middle Earth? But he was one of the funniest stand-ups I ever saw.

Assume you know that wasn’t coincidental – he chose the stage name intentionally.

I did. I've seen him live loads of times, most recently as the opening act for Barenaked Ladies. He's brilliant.

Oops, I missed that we'd already done BG.

Glad to hear he's still going. I last saw him in the 1990s at Bound & Gagged, Palmers Green.

Portobello should be lapped by the Mediterranean where you can be enjoying a flat white outdoors just now in comfort whereas you can do that just now in the pissing rain , freezing your nuts off whilst looking over the grey Firth of Forth at a distant Fife
Bolton in East Lothian maybe a distant relative of the one near Manchester

I like how Hollywood, County Wicklow have their own Hollywood sign up on a hill.
