have a friend back in the UK. after leaving the Marines he ended up getting into anti-piracy in the Gulf.
two months on board various ships with a few ex-army colleagues. helicopter flights, fire a few warning shots no and then and generally sun bathe a lot.
then four months off before going back out there. didn't get paid too badly either! he said four months work was more than enough and he paid off about half his mortgage in the two years! got a kid now so has had to find a proper job.
