Any idea what’s going on? We have a basic Yale non smart kit with some added PIR. After several years use, twice now in successive weeks at 3am then last night at 5am the living room PIR has set the alarm.
Nothing has changed, batteries are good, no tamper alert just a straight siren, no pets in the room etc.
Any ideas not including ghosts and invisible men? I’ve removed it from the system now but I need to sort it before I get assaulted by the neighbours.
Spiders in the sensor?
Is it a wireless sensor?
If so, the battery may be on the way out. Between 2 and 7am is the coldest part of the night, so the battery will be at its weakest. Once warmed up to 15+ degrees it could be fine, but once below 10, it could be failing.

Check for spiders living in or behind it. They love to come out at that time of night.

Seems plausible, I'll have a check. The only other thing I can think of is Junior phone which is in line with the view of the PIR receiving. YouTube update overnight, but I would have thought a 30s brightening of an iPhone screen would set it off.
Need to avoid running around the house in my pants early morning waving rolling pin at the threat of non existent intruders.
