This was a great afternoons local ride in deep snow and glorious sunshine. A good few years ago now, but still stands out as a memorable ride

Ogden Water/Ovenden Moor loop - about 25+ years ago, on film. JJ on one of the first full sus bikes I saw in the flesh - an Intense somethingorother.

MRs Baron in a snowy Cannock Chase.

On a loop of Braemar - Lions Face - bottom of Morrone. Creaking snow, the sky a hard blue,  freezing but utterly beautiful.

All your pictures are fantastic.  I have some others (Quite a lot!) from before the days of digital cameras - I need to digitise and upload.  I always end up putting it off!

@baronvonp7.  My photo in my second post was taken at Cannock Chase.  Cannock was where I learned to really ride a bike off-road in the late 1980’s. 

My second full-suspension bike was an Intense Tracer.  Loved that bike.

Love me a nice wintry ride!  Just as long as the ground is slightly frozen and not too sloppy obviously..

A frosty FOD (2014). My mate in the photo submitted it to one of the mags and it won photo of the month (although he didn't tell me and kept the track pump he won!).

I can't compete with most of those but this was Arkengarthdale Easter 2013. There was much pushing and carrying.

Some great photos here - I do love a good ride in the snow! These are both on a ride from home a couple of years ago.

The only two I've got.  Top one is the last time we had snow in Cardiff, 2019, and the top one is a few days later in the FOD in a part that very few had been.

Bloody love cold, crisp rides in fresh snow.

The second one was a commute home. I was warned not to go that way, but where's the fun in that. It got a lot worse.

Farleton Knott last December. Had some great fun, until it started to thaw and the WTB tyres couldn't handle the wet and I gashed my arm, resulting in a 5 day hospital stay on IV antibiotics. 

Wonderful  and evocative pics there, thanks all. I love riding in the snow.

and more recently in 2021

Riding over to Mellor Cross earlier this year. Five minutes after taking this picture I tapped my front brake by accident on a sheet of ice, hit the deck, bruised my rib and couldn't ride for weeks. It was a nice view at the top though.
