Need to put some pictures up and want to create less mess as possible to the wall, in case we move picture or re-arrange furniture etc. What is the best and easiest way to do this. Can you just use picture hooks and pins straight into the plaster as long as the picture isn't too heavy? (Assume you can use a couple if needs be for each picture), how much weight can they take? Or is it best to actual use a proper drywall fitting even though it will then by stuck in the wall and harder to cover if moving the picture. Most of the outside walls are dot dab I believe, I presume the internal walls will be stud partition. Any tips or links to the best fittings would be very much appreciated.

Or the two pin type that angle the pins downwards are even better.
Standard hooks are fine, masonry nails make a tiny hole in plasterboard that can be filled very easily and overpainted.
