Now that I've learnt about the free drop off zone at MA,  what's the best solution for picking up?

Need to collect eldest daughter tomorrow night from T3 [presuming the flight even exists!] - multi-storey @ £6/30 mins or something else?

Get her to walk to the Radisson Blu, the car park is free to access.

The other option would be either a tram or train ticket which is cheaper than the £6 then pick up from next stop?

Get her to walk to the Holiday Inn, the car park is free to access. Its only about 100m from the arrivals hall.

I did not know this, noted for my trip in September. Cheers.

For holiday inn, come out of arrivals hall, turn right, walk to end of terminal and follow the signs. its about 3 min walk, 4 with big cases. You can push a baggage trolley the whole way if needed.

Think there is more than one Holiday Inn maybe?

I think there’s two. One is an express but it’s off the airport. The main one I think is close to T2 but a bit of a way from T3 (everything is a bit of a way from T3).

Maybe an overcomplicated answer but just in case it's useful for future searches - I needed to pick up family earlier this summer but had a roof rack (so was worried about height barriers and couldn't find enough info at the time). Ended up parking in Wythenshawe and taking the tram there and back - was easy and relatively quick/cheap.

This is the worry, tired passenger has to try and navigate a big airport, you save £6, they turn up grumpy with a short temper!

After my recent Heathrow thread I ended up paying the minimum £16 charge to get my campervan into the overheight pickup car park rather than leave my wife to get out of the airport via public transport at 5am.  Unwheeled luggage too as the journey started with a tiny plane that didn't want suitcases (Would be even more expensive now Heathrow is inside ULEZ!)

That's the one I was at..... Didn't know it was so far from T3 😬

To be fair she was absolutely fine. She just had carry on luggage (very impressive considering she's been away for 5 weeks) and was fairly happy to walk.
