Please bear with me on this, as I'm experimenting with the bargain SJ4000.    This is an unedited clip from last nights ride with Jnr.    Please forgive the:

a) Inept Camera work

b) Frustrated dad - volume down to cut out the moaning - Jnr was having a bit switch off brain wise but I made it up to him post ride with cake

c) Its was much darker than it looked in the forest hence the quality, also its a £50 camera.

Here goes:

An amazing 3hr training ride today.   Half dry, half of it in the rain.  Yesterdays rain did nothing but dampen down the dust which led to a much grippier trail today, awesome.

Picked the new bike up this morning so spent the afternoon swapping stuff about. Wheels, bars, mech, cassette, chain and shifter. Just got the forks and brakes to do before it gets ridden.

Me neither but Mrsstu likes them.
They're doing an Imperial Russian stout in a couple of weeks time 8.8%.😁

Went out this morning as the forecast was better today - it still rained almost constantly! I'm still running my near slick summer tyres which made for a slippy seat of the pants descent in some now muddy sections...

When I went on my ride there were 4 Eccles cakes in my bag.
When I got back there was only one.
And now that seems to have vanished. Spooky.
Haribo? Ha! I sneer at Haribo.

@eddiebaby Haribo should be from the tub otherwise there's not enough. (Tubs are kilo each from cash n carry). Good effort on the eccles cakes though.

First paddle of the year, stretching "broadly 5 miles" to 8. Ran back home afterwards too, so I guess that's 2 today!

Dropped the Levo SL in at 18 Bikes to finish of the final fettle, weather was so good so did a four hour walk out of Castleton. It was hot and sweaty.

Picked the bike up on the way back, just need to get it out on the trails

Haha. Was waiting for that comment.

Years ago I had one of the first Google phones and it had an early version of their 'photosphere' app. As a fan of lofi photography I love what that did when you used it to take 'normal' photos (as well as the odd mismatched bits it processes colour and tone in a really interesting way). When I borked the phone I thought I'd have to go without, but finally found out at the weekend that the algorithm is still part of their Streetview app so installed that to have a play with.

We went up onto Cutgate early to do an out and back and test the Turbo Levo and the Levo SL back to back. Rode quite a bit of it twice to get a feel for the SL on the same stuff with the same conditions. It was a bit wet and boggy up on the top. Not surprising with the rain we have had all week.

#enduroline 😉

Jump down the 4 small stair sets, nibble the brakes and hop up the middle set and then up the final 5. Pleased to get timing & weight/position right today to avoid dinging the back rim on the HT. End of 20 mile of xc/urban/coast.
