When I take photos they are stored on my SD card, but it looks like its kaput. Does android store any pics etc in the cache anywhere on the phone?
In the root\sdcard\DCIM folder if they're anywhere but presumably you opted for the SD card instead to stop them piling up in there?
Yes SD card was chosen, it looks like I have lost all the photo's taken today 🙁
Synced with Google?
Also, this used to be good. Dunno if it still is.
I checked quickly last night with google sync, it now appears that only 8 out of the 30ish photos taken yesterday managed to store on the SD card and sync with google as a recognised file/format.
So whilst I was taking photo's they were not actually being saved on the SD card, so they never really existed, just lots of empty thumbnails with unrecognised files.
Its not the end of the world, I was out in Snowdonia yesterday walking and the conditions were really good, I have about 8 files that are viewable.
I did try Ccleaner, cheers.
Recuva, not ccleaner (same site is all).
If they haven't saved in the first place you're probably humped.
