I'm after a decent budget bridge camera,
a) because the wife has packed away the DSLR,
b) the wife hates using the DSLR, and
c) I don't like compacts

Currently swaying towards the Fujifilm FinePix S2950, purely cos it's cheap and looks easy enough to use.

Any others I should consider?

I'm in a similar place looking for something better than a point and press compact, but more portable thanmy DSLR.

High on the lists are TZ20 or in fact TZ18, 'cos i don't need the extra stuff on the 20. Most likely i'll go for the Canon G12. But i'd have the X10 if i could

Nice. I like the ideas, and that X10 is pretty sexual in a safari suit kinda way. Think cheaper though. The FinePix I mentioned is £130.
It's a camera that will more likely than not be dropped, bashed, soaked in beer, used as a doorstop, and finally, stolen. I don't want to spend more than about £150 if I can help it.

Prob the tz18 then, but it feels more like a compact. Still has all the control though. I cansee why you would have the larger ones too.

This post made me dig out my old Minox. There's a half used Kodachrome in it. Have to finish it off tomorrow. Wonder where I can get that processed now?

What I would like is the digital equivalent. Good lens, no faff features, viewfinder with exposure info, and small and light (really important).

I don't need/want autofocus, but I don't mind auto exposure. Zoom nice but unnecessary.

Currently I use an Olympus Mu with its nice waterproofing for cycling, but I'd like better resolution.

So:
Fuji X10 (X100 looks useful but has smaller sensor)
Nikon V1
Lumix GF
Olympus EPL2/3
Leica D-Lux

Got to survive getting sweaty in chest pocket, although a plastic bag could be used.

Anything else I should consider?
