Anyone doing a photo a day or a photo a ride for 2012?
I know a few people have done this in the past (I think JohnClimber puts in a good effort every year). I tried and gave up in 2010, but might give it another bash this year to encourage me to get the camera out more often (although no doubt a lot of the shots will be camera phone shots).

3 years of daily snapping and I'm out.
The camera is only resting but it's nice not to have the pressure every day. I'll do a pick a ride even if it's from my camera phone

pixelmix, I thought about this last year but settled for a photo a week, and it worked well (just need to choose one for this week and I'm done :))
I felt that I had more chance of not failing.

A weekly photo does sound like a more sensible idea. When I tried daily in 2010, it did become a bit of a chore, so I gave up after a while. Hopefully working closer to home now will mean I get more of a chance to take a snap without it becoming a chore this year.
I'll also need to accept that sometimes a camera phone shot of something routine without any real photographic merit will have to do.
Think I may have a go this year, problem is that my day to day life doesn't vary enough to keep taking photos of different things!
You'll get very good at a small range of subjects:) nowt wrong with that..

I'm giving it a crack this year, although I fully expect lack of inspiration will mean it doesn't last all that long. Will probably end up with more pics from my phone than with my proper camera seen as my phone is always with me!

Gonna do the 1 per week rather than 366 this yr, since I've already done 1 and a half 365's.
It's certainly educational, if you stick with it, and makes you experiment a bit with camera settings, subjects, etc.
Might try some more "effects" type pics this year, rather than my default "yet another sky shot".

usually give up when I realise just how boring my weeks are but this year ought to be more interesting at least.

The reason I've given it up is that my work-a-day ife is now the same everyday, in a good way as I've found a great job but you don't want to see endless boring shots of industrial estates do you?
