Can anyone recommend a decent screen protector for my iPhone. I've tried a few different tempered glass style ones that claim to be really robust and they all seem to crack or chip around the edges. I've had some film type ones on previous phones which have been pretty robust but can anyone recommend something decent before I go wasting any more money on eBay?!

Always been impressed with Olixar ones from Mobile Fun.

Tech21 seems decent so far. The applicator is genius.

I came in here to suggest the Pound Shop tempered glass ones, they’re always done me fine and for £1 I replace if they crack.

crack or chip around the edges.

Has sir been chucking his expensive phone around or putting it in sir's back pocket?

HMM? maybe you need something for the weekend, Sir!

Just buy cheap tempered glass ones and replace as necessary. My iPhone 11 is on its second glass protector, I think I paid about £7 for two with a plastic application guide, which makes replacing them a breeze. The first one got several chips around the edges and a crack, so I just binned it and put a new one on. When you’re talking about a couple of quid protection on a device costing many hundreds, I’d rather pay a teeny bit more for the glass instead of crappy plastic ones. The glass protector I had on my iP6+ lasted around three years, cost two quid.

On a more serious note, screen protectors are like derailleur hangars, they should fail before the screen fails so it sound like it's doing it's job, just take a bit more care?

Cheapo tempered glassware ones but with a "liquid" silicone case that has a small bevel on it to protect the edges.

Seems to be the best solution I've found for protection and lack of faf. My S7 is four years old now. Replace the protector every couple of months.

I've used Ultimate Shield for quite a few years now on pretty much all the phones in the house.

Can't really tell you've got a protector on there and last a good while. Far better than the thick tempered ones and don't scratch like the cheap film ones from ebay.

I've maybe just had a bad run as I've cracked 3 in about 3 weeks and I'm not generally clumsy on kit!

I'll chuck another cheapo on there and keep replacing as required 😉
