Need a new case for my phone, I’m on my tools most of the time, climbing ladders etc and have a tendency to lean on my phone if it’s in my pocket. Is the Otter box the go to nowadays or is there something else I should be looking at?

I use Spiegen cases one of those combined with a Spiegen screen protector and it's great. I had 3 otterbox cases on my Note9 and they all failed the last one failed to protect the phone spectacularly and I had to get a new phone.

Had no issues with otter box for my sons phone. He has CP so the phone gets dropped a lot. Fares better than the crap iPad cover my daughters school insists on for her iPad.

Otter box case for my iPhone XS, has been ace and protected my phone really well. Makes the phone rather large though!

Plenty of OtterBoxes in our house, they're our 'go to' for phone cases and not had a damaged phone in years (that's jinxed it!).

But it sounds like you'll be after the ones with an in-built screen protector if you're leaning on it. Had one of those in the kids' early years for the iPad and it stuck all sorts of abuse - only when you have kids do you find yourself saying "don't stand on the iPad!". Thankfully they're now of an age where less industrial device protection is required.

In true singletrack fashion...

I have been using Mous Limitless cases for our iPhones for 5 years or so. They are a bit pricy I think but they are brilliant protection wise, come with free high quality screen protectors, don't make your phone too bulky and are even more brilliant from a customer service point of view...

I first used one on an iPhone X, it failed after about 2 years (a split between the front and the back), took photo, sent to Mous, new case in post the next day. I've just done this on a case for my daughters SE too - same response, new case in post next day.

When I got my new phone I ordered the wrong size case by mistake - entirely my fault. Sent a mail, new case in post next day, no charge, told me to keep the old case and give it away as a gift.

All our phones have been dropped at one time or another and have been all good. Youngest dropped hers on the way to Scouts on Monday and from the sound of it I was sure the screen had gone - not a scratch.

Can't really recommend highly enough.

All these have been ordered via the Mous site directly, not sure whether the CS experience would be the same from Amazon etc.

I’ve had good experiences with QuadLock.

Not cheap though.
