My phone has stopped notifying messages & voicemails at seemingly random points. Most of the time its only *some* text messages / Facebook messenger / WhatsApp messages from my partner. The messages will be delivered but I'm not notified that they are there.
This has mostly been laughed off and accepted, however yesterday I found a voicemail from my 94 yr old Nana, left the day before saying she was unwell. I assume she called when my phone was off. Clearly this is unacceptable.
Will the issue lie with the phone (2yr old moto g, otherwise fine) or with my phone network?
If it is the phone, what is the current basic android phone du jour to buy handset only?
A friend had the same with whatsapp, it was hidden in the settings somewhere after an update I think. Option to turn on/off notifications. Switched to on and was all ok
More likely to be software than hardware imo. Any chance you just didn't hear or see the notification at the time ?
