I have a Motorola Defy that I have had since new, possibly about 3 or 4 years.

I upgraded the OS about 2 years ago to Cynagon Mod 4.0.4
And all has been absolutely fine, until the last few weeks

It keeps rebooting
And the last few times I have started Maverick (mapping s/w), Maverick would crash about 4 times before deciding OhOK then I'll work.

Last night was the same. Maverick played up about 4 times.
But when I got back & looked at the GPS track (Clayton Vale) it had me riding over roof tops - & I'm not that good.

Is it time for a new phone or I guess I could try a new OS install first.

Could be battery related.

My iPhone's bluetooth and gps got really bad and a battery changed sorted it all out - there wasn't enough 'oomph' in the battery to power them properly although standard phone use was ok.

Could be battery or GPS chip related. I had a Defy a few years back, but it was on the straight Android/MotoBlur OS. I always assumed it was too low specced to cope with modding. The battery life on it wasn't great even with everything run as low/efficient as possible. I sacked it after a while and got the Razr I instead.

The re-booting is a 'feature' of the defy. I had one and thought it was OK, but it did go through the occasional reboot frenzy every so often. That, plus google maps bricking it with regularity, made me give up on it.
V nice mountain biking phone though - just seems that the processor is a bit puny by current standards.
