It's a cheaper Huawei, any ideas whether wired or Bluetooth headphones will drain battery more quickly? Likely to be over ear if that matters.

Bluetooth will but I wouldn't expect a big difference unless you're using them all day.

Probably not a lot in it, BT might drain a wee bit more, it’s supposed to be a low-power tech, but don’t forget the ‘phones have their own batteries that need charging as well, wired removed that extra requirement, however there’s a wire that can get tangled and caught on clothes and furniture.
Pays money, makes choice, etc.
FWIW, my ‘phones are all wired, but they have MMCX connectors, and there are BT adaptors available from MEEAudio that have around 8 hour charge that I’m looking at getting, just to get away from the issue of the wire getting caught on things.

Ta gents. In theory wired is higher fidelity too?

It's mostly for trains etc so wired isn't so bad.

Any recommendations for wired over ear 'phones?

I like my AKG Y50BT. Over ears, pretty well sealed so they exclude a great deal of external noise (and hopefully don't leak noise either). Very good battery life, and there's the option to hard wire with an included cable instead of bluetooth though I don't know whether that's easier on the phone battery. Or the headphone battery for that matter, sorry. £70-80ish IIRC.

Ta Jonners, those are on ear tho, which I find less comfy, albeit over ears may be worse with glasses!

Yeah sorry, you're right, I got on/over mixed up! The AKGs are also quite a firm fit, I'm a glasses wearer too and after a couple of hours use I'm sometimes aware of the arms. Not uncomfortable as such but it's there.
