French designer Philippe Starck has unveiled four electric bicycles and a collection of matching cycling accessories at the Eurobike event in Germany today, including a bike with a furry coat.
Thought you might all enjoy tearing this apart.
😀
The asphalt one looks a bit bouncy for a town bike though eh?
"I wanted the bike to be able to go over all kinds of terrains and especially infinite and poetic territories," said Starck.
You have to wonder quite how ugly the frame is if you need to cover it up with that furry thing.

What tyres for a cinquain?
Oddly all they've done is accessorise the bikes that Moustache have already designed. Shark well and truly jumped
Looks like Gort

I was thinking Daffy Duck.
Different. I quite like them too.
Electric bikes are the work of the Devil.
Electric bikes are the work of the Devil.
tell that to someone who wants to cycle (probably more that most folk do), and is unable to do so because of bad health problems.
electric bike are fantastic, used in the situations they are intended for.
Do you think PS has ever actually ridden off road at all?
While I love the looks for some reason (the single sided fork is beautiful) the practical me thinks he's barking.
the bikes all seem to have the best battery/motor available.
very capable of proper offroad stuff

Would that awesome battery and motor run the risk of this being technically a motorbike, meaning that off-roading almost anywhere would be illegal. And not normal mountain biking illegal, the kind of illegal where you actually get in real trouble.
And don't imagine for a second that the ramblers wouldn't be taking notice.

For it to be technically a motorbike it needs to be able to go over 15mph (I'm assuming that's without pedal assistance): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_bicycle_laws#United_Kingdom

Oh, ton must have been using the words "best", "capable", "proper" and "offroad" in a way I'm not familiar with. 😉
I like em', think Leccy bikes have their place. Anything that's going to encourage riding is ok with me. Certainly they have a design ethic they like to promote, bit poncy, but then I like race bikes, so what do I know 😆
I want a Tony Stark designed electric bicycle
I want a Tony Soprano designed electric bicycle.
I want a Tony Danza designed electric bicycle.
I want a Tony Hart drawn electric bicycle
[quote=petefromearth said]Quite like them, in a 'concept car' sort of way! The accessories are just bonkers
Absolutely love this though, the new cycle scheme in Bordeaux...
Alan Sugar and Rory Bremner's love child 😯
Not really sure about fur on a bike tbh...
I like the fatbike but TBH its all abit boring -nicely executed but boring and I expect the price for it to be mental.
I want a Tony the Tiger designed electrical bicycle.
if i ever need a ebike again, this will be on the top of my list.
