Further to the hay fever in winter thread, it was warm enough yesterday to actually consider wearing shorts. I didn’t go to work today, due to, shall we say, a gastric issue this morning, so I’ve spent the day wearing shorts! March is usually the earliest, so I’m pretty pleased with the weather at the moment. 😬

My new and brilliant Didriksons parka may not actually be used this Winter! Although the Beast from the East was in March last year

Although the Beast from the East was in March last year

Well, on the 28th of February last year I got stuck on a housing estate in Falmouth because it was too slippery to get back up the hill out of the valley. A large 4x4 tractor slid backwards trying to tow a Luton van out, and nearly went into a house.
He eventually got out via another route, and came back and towed us out, otherwise we’d have spent the night on somebody’s floor! It was almost exciting for a while...
Looking back up the hill, the car on the left we’d managed to push safely onto someone’s drive...

The tractor trying, and failing to haul the Luton van...

Possibly a better idea of how steep it was, and bloody slippery!
And bearing in mind this is Falmouth the far south of Cornwall...
