Anyone any experience with the water resistance of this? Looking at buying a vest in their sale, and wondering if I should play it safe and buy the sigma thinsulate, or can the drishell be relied on to keep down dry in a bit more than just a shower?

Hmmm, I wouldn't. I have it on a couple of bags and a vest. It's OK for condensation/drips but not rain IME.
