I have a modern lead free pewter hip flask. Due to thirst, Whisky has never sat in it for long.
Can the slower drinkers tell me how long Whisky can be left in a pewter flask before it takes on a metallic taste... If ever.

I'd imagine a couple of years (same as a bottle one opened) if it's airtight. The metallic taste isn't the flask, it's oxidisation.
