1.84 litre for unleaded on the a217 near Reigate hill.
2.20 on Arran
Something like £2.20 at the Cluanie Inn on the A87 when I passed on Friday...
2.20 on Arran
😳 only £1.75 on the Isle of Mull
smug EV nonce here, last used a petrol station on Mallorca and a made my mate do the dirty.
(not helpful. I know :p)
You do know what nonce means don't you? I'd not be calling myself that on a public forum.
Costco unleaded was about £1.64 today (I did t pay a lot of attention as I was putting diesel in at £1.74
🤦
Edit: was regarding the nonce posts above...
I’d not be calling myself that on a public forum.
Or claiming to be smug about it.
£1.91 unleaded on the M6 at Keele services today. Got caught a little short so had to put £10 in (insert joke about that only getting me to Stafford).
1.64 the last time I filled up 35l
But then that lasts me a month so be a while before I make up the cash differential to purchase an EV.
Driving less is a good thing.
Sold my car in January (for a profit) and have cycled to work since.
How many smug points does that get me?

Not of normal combustion engine?
I seen 1.94 at Beith but the surprising thing was diesel was cheaper (every other station the diesel is dearer than the petrol)
1,99 for diesel at Rugby services last Saturday.
Just paid £85 for just over half a tank of E5 (45l).
Ouch and indeed ouch.
Glad I only do very low miles by car.
£1.80.9 in Evesham. I get round the high price of fuel by filling up when I get to 3/4 of a tank, that way I only have to spend 40 quid to have a full tank... 🤣

Seen this for the first time today in Devon, had to do a double take but petrol was 181.9 and diesel 179.9
Trudged to Asda today to fill the sheddy Volvo up on E10, despite normally treating it to E5.
£1.68/l. In Morley, that's in Yorkshire. And ASDA!
Couldn't believe it. And that's with the non-nonce discount.
1.96/l for V-Power unleaded today in Bristol.
1.99 Diesel Barton Services North Yorkshire
1.98 Diesel Scotch Corner
Hmm. I'm just about to embark on a 2000-mile road trip in a car that does 30mpg. This could be an expensive couple of weeks.
I’m trying to not to use the car as usual but even less so. Diesel always £1:80ish now in Heref/Worcs
On the subject of oil prices - saw this video today which was both entertaining and (hopefully) informative:

But then you're paying to move the equivalent of an extra person in fuel you're not using around the place!
Not the most economical.

Sssh, I mentioned this before and lots of arguing took place. I hadn't appreciated petrol is lighter than I thought, but yeah no point carrying round a load of fuel you don't need.
If my car is ever stolen, I hope the fuel light is on.
Well there is an I disputable fact that it costs X amount to move 1kg from point A to point B.
My boat, when fully fuelled, carries around approx 250kg of fuel which most certainly affects the fuel consumption.
unleaded has caught up to diesel in ambleside, both at 184.9, a couple of miles down the road diesel is a penny less but unleaded is 10p less.
223.9/litre ☹️
(but that is $CDN....)
In a car that weighs nearly 2tonnes I doubt the effect is significant. It does mean that when the next fuel crisis rears it’s ugly head I’ll have at least 3/4 of a tank, unlike last time when I finally managed to get fuel with less than 10 miles range remaining having missed out on two days riding with the subsequent effect on my mental health.
Petrol more expensive than diesel in Harrogate now (1.83 vs 1.81). I don't understand why.
1.76 for petrol around here but 1.87 for diesel, no idea why the differences everywhere!
How many smug points does that get me?
Not as many as starting this lifestyle choice 10.5 years ago. 😉
Did 40 miles or so trip through Kent today and saw prices for petrol ranging from £1.71 to £1.97 (most expensive was on A2 near Canterbury). Crazy, don't ever remember seeing such a large price difference within a relatively small area!
