Anyone got any?

Do you use it to guard your bikes?

I'm thinking a whooper of a Burmese Python in the Shed should keep potential thief's out!

Used to have Corn snake, great pets, simple to feed, easy to clean (dry poo) and only require a glass box with heat mat.

The only thing with snakes is that they do live as long as cats/dogs etc... so expect at least a 20 year commitment

Yep! 2 - Well, they are actually mu daughters pets. both currently about 3 1/2 feet long and and just over a year old. Looking for a Western Hognose next, something with a bit of attitude!

Quite intimidating. If only they could bark to let potential thieves know they were in there!

if your going to bother getting one, get one that does something other than just lie in the corner looking fat like burmese tend to. get yourself a nice looking coastal or jungle carpet python. very active during the night and feed like a demon

you can't cuddle snakes therefore they make terrible pets. Like goldfish. They REALLY don't like cuddles on the sofa watching Paddy McG and the Baying Harpies of Bunny Boiling.

Yes I own a few 🙂

That's my Green Tree Python and I've got a Royal Python and a Dwarf La Bahai Boa which is a dwarf species of Red Tail Boa Constrictor plus I've got an Emerald Tree Boa on it's way too.
Snakes certainly do live long lives and so you must consider this when buying one. As for guarding your bikes in the shed I recommend an African Rock Python or Afrock as we call them. They're bloody huge and are quite nasty at times so any potential scum bags trying nick your bikes could end up dead haha.

Hadge, some beautiful specimens there!
Anyone wanting one for guarding things should try one of these:

I'm sure that's a Rock Python. Told you they're good. There's this very well known picture of one that got caught on an electric fence. Pretty impressive set of gnashers too

Hadge, those are beautiful snakes! I particularly love the Green Tree Python, my favourite snake. Like carved jade when they're curled up around a branch. 😀

My Dumeril Boa, very chilled but feeds like a beast!

That Dumeril is lovely. I've never considered one of those and apart from a nice Carpet Python I think my collection is complete - he says lol.

my mate used to live next door to someone who kept snakes, he didn't know they kept snakes until he saw a snake in his house though...lol

it disappeared and they slept downstairs in the lounge for a couple of nights to try and avoid it until it showed up again...lol
