Perth Scotland that is. Have a couple to nights to spend in Perth midweek at the end of the month, any recommendations would be appreciated. Ideally central enough to walk to pub etc and car parking would be handy.

City Mills or the Queens Hotels are central and have parking I believe they are ok. Plenty of pubs and restaurants in the town centre Foundry, Christies, Bothy ect and some big chain pubs. Italian, French, India, Thai restaurants all in town centre too

Don't know anything about hotels but can recommend Breizh restaurant
Also, not been there, but Cafe Tabou is highly spoken of locally.
hat said, so is Sante Wine bar, and where the food was pretty good, the place was pretentious. It's related to Breizh somehow. breizh has (had, it's been renovated recently and I haven't seen the new look place) a slightly run down vibe with great character and unusual reasobaly priced scoff (more Normandy than French). Awesome desserts.
If you fancy Indian, Chatni is superb, but is Methven so a few miles outside Perth.
Perth has never been overendowed with decent pubs as far as I know. Bothy (next to the Playhouse?) is ok and the one over the road that used to be the Famous Grouse offices looked alright when I stuck my head in t'other night (looking for post-movie scoff, but they were fully booked). Pizza Express does Orange Wednesday (BOGOF and free starter)

Most hotels in Perth city centre I've found to be pretty dire
Only one I would recommend is the Salutation Inn has no parking but public car park next door is free between 6pm and 8am
There is also Sunbank House over the river that's still walkable, more of a b&b than hotel
At base of kinoul hill too if you have your bike with you
Royal George is ok but overpriced and normally full of American coach parties
Best hotel is slightly out of town (4mile) and needs a car/taxi is the Huntingtower, again if you have your bike it's on the road to Comrie Croft
I would avoid - Parklands, The Station, either Best Westerns
