You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
For years I've kept having the three bass notes that begin Happy Mondays' Performance entering into my head, usually whenever I'm about to start something like a day's work, or a DIY job. Which probably suggests it's some kind of anxiety recall thing. Just me?
Not at all. I have 3 regular 'tunes' popping into my brain every day: 1812 overture, Popcorn and (sorry) Deck the Halls. I wander round whistling these to myself all the time.
I get belle and Sebastian's boy with the Arab strap. Probably thanks to the C4 series teachers. I get it every day riding my bike to school.
I have pretty much a permanent earworm but its rarely the same song repeated. Its more like I have 6music in my head
Pray for tj, the thought of Chris Hawkins or Craig Charles blabbering inanely for hours is truly horrific.
For me it's The Flintstones theme tune and Would You Like To Swing on a Star. No idea why!
My father's the Lord mayor of London 🙁

Don't forget Thomas the Tank Engine too 😉
Ini Kamoze - Here come the Hotstepper, whenever I ride at Fod trail centre.
'Ere come the Hotstepper, *VERDERER*
I'm the lyrical gangster, *VERDERER*
Usually something topical or linked to a memory in some way, stays in my head until the next one takes its place. The current one is a short bit of music by Mellowdrone that came up on my Spotify and instantly took me back to playing Driv3r on the PlayStation, it was the opening credits music and I've been wondering what it was for years and now I know.
@kayak23 - if that sticks in my head the next time I visit there it's all your fault 😡🤣
Ini Kamoze – Here come the Hotstepper
This always features on the jukebox in my head when I go surfing for some reason.
Camptown Races - I blame Mel Brooks

On long, chugging road ascents I get the theme tune from Garden Force in my head. But outside of that context I don't actually know how the tune goes. I couldn't hum it now - If it try and recall it my memory serves up the theme from Wallace and Gromit instead - but point me up a hill with a healthy smattering of false summits and there it is.
I get belle and Sebastian’s boy with the Arab strap
I get that too, inherited from a friend who would sing it before I even heard it.
Btw we did a thread on this not that long ago 😉
I used to get to work every day with "Richard Corey" by Simon and Garfunkel going round my head. Obviously, a fairly obscure song, but it was every day, for months and months. I had no idea why.
Then, one morning, I noticed that on my way to work I drove past an industrial unit for a company called 'Corey and Sons' or something similar. I'd never consciously noticed it before, but, clearly, subconsciously I had.

Quite often this song for the exact same reason.
The other one is the 'oh no' from the Mos Def/Pharoahe Monch song, this always plays in my head whenever i have to say 'oh no, the XXX cuddly toy has fallen over' as part of a make believe game with my daughter.
Whenever I start to struggle doing a physical activity I get Oasis Columbia in my head. Just the ending bit that goes, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, yeah, yeah, yeah and then the guitar...Everytime, seems to work though.
I have others that pop into my head when certain things are said, gravel pit by wu tang clan and street life the crusaders (I had to look that up) are ones that come into my head with certain things for work.
Oh and Flashing lights by Kanye West when I'm snowboarding...
