Right, the shower's been regrouted and sealed.
My next task this Easter holiday is to turn our shitty back patio into a nice outdoor dining space (so not much pressure!)
As it's got paving stones down already I've decided on Ikea Runnen clip together decking - there's a small manhole cover in the middle, so proper decking is out.
Space for the Chimnea is sorted, and I've got pallets to build a wood & mower store.
My only decision is what to put over it. Needs to be shower proof and semi-permanent, so a non-pop up metal framed gazebo seems like a good idea. But maybe a bit flimsy?
I haven't got time to build my own wooden structure - this would be preferable, but a lot more hassle.
I've just been looking at the Glendale Seville 3x4m aluminium framed Pergola. Seems decent value at £300ish. Has a fabric roof, and I'd guess I could easily fit some polycarbonate sheets over the top to make it more weather proof.
Any other ideas or suggestions that won't break the bank?
Heh. You said poo.
You don’t have an orangery?
Bloody peasants 😉
Sir! That will neither be a pergola or a gazebo. A pergola is an arch structure that is usually over a path and so is intended to be walked under/along. A gazebo is a small separate covered structure, usually round or octagonal in shape, which is intended to be used to give a wider view to the landscape. I would contend that sir is in fact intending to construct an arbour.
I built this with my own bare hands for about £500 including the polycarb roof. Really pleased with it and was nice to be able to sit outside in the rain.
Only issue was it became a haven for false widow spiders 🕷

A pergola, arbor or arbour is a garden feature forming a shaded walkway, passageway or sitting area of vertical posts or pillars that usually support cross-beams and a sturdy open lattice, often upon which woody vines are trained. As a type of gazebo, it may also be an extension of a building, or serve as protection for an open terrace or a link between pavilions.

Yes, yes I did. Managed to get it inside the edit window though.
Stevie's - that looks great. I'm short on time though...wife's at work, and kids are with me. I need something I can assemble in an afternoon or so.
Where did you get the Polycarbonate sheets from?
Whatever I buy, I'll probably want to upgrade the roof with some of those.
I think it was from the roofing superstore ( https://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/browse/roof-sheets/polycarbonate-roofing/twinwall/bronze-twinwall-sheets.html) although it was several years ago now.
