[Closed] Performance VW or Ultra VW subscription - which is the better mag

Hi,

My eldest lad is into heavily modified ‘euro-look’ VW’s. Mainly MK1, 2 and 3 Golf, Jetta’s, Caddy’s and Passat’s.
He’s not really that fussed about how quick they are or even how they handle, it’s all about the look !!
I want to get him a magazine subscription for Christmas but have no idea which would be most suitable.
He is only 16 so not in a position to actually buy and modify a car yet so loads of ‘technical how to’ write ups isn’t a must. He is probably much more interested in loads of well taken photo’s, show reports and articles on ‘slammed’ readers cars.
From a quick search of the www, Ultra VW seems ok but looks to concentrate very heavily on split screens/bays and Beetles neither of which he is really that bothered about.
Performance VW looks even better, but does that just concentrate on making modern stuff go as fast as possible? With limited articles about the earlier models.
If this helps this is his idea of his perfect car.

Any idea if either would be worth the £40+ for a year’s subscription, or would another be more suitable??
